General Information
Die Renaissance-Villa „Il Poggiale“ gilt als eines der „Historischen Herrschaftshäuser“ und liegt im Herzen des Chianti, nur wenige Kilometer von Florenz entfernt. Die Eigentümer ließen die Villa von Grund auf restaurieren, um ihren Gästen anspruchsvolle Gastlichkeit und familiäre Atmosphäre zu einem vernünftigen Preis bieten zu können.
Villa Il Poggiale hat großzügige und helle Räume. Im großen, mit Fresken ausgemalten Salon – dem Herzen des Hauses – finden Sie bequeme Sessel und einladende Sofas; kleinere Räume bieten Platz zum Ausruhen oder Lesen. Das Frühstück wird im Speisesaal des Erdgeschosses serviert.
Alle Gästezimmer sind groß und individuell eingerichtet, die Wände mit Naturfarben ausgemalt. Die für die Vorhänge und Baldachine der Betten verwandten Stoffe wurden von kleinen Handwerksbetrieben hergestellt. Orientalische Seidenstoffe fanden bei der Einrichtung der Säle und herrschaftlichen Zimmer Anwendung.

Take the Highway "Autostrada del Sole" (A1), and exit at "Firenze Certosa". From here enter the speedway to Siena, and take the first exit San Casciano V.P.. Drive for a couple of km and just before entering San Casciano, take a right turn towards Empoli-Cerbaia. After approximately 3 km, on your left, you will find Villa il Poggiale, surrounded by cypress trees.
